DOMESTIC ANIMAL´S ABUSE

Thousands of animals are ill-treated everyday by its proprietors, some of them up to the exhaustion, mutilation, palsy, irreparable damages or even to the deathitself. Without coming to such an end thousands of dogs and cats finish in dog houses every year. They obtain some of them some adoptive parent, others will never be able to leave the dog house and will die in its cage;and, finally, the animals who are not adopted, any more the biggest or these places normally they have a limited term of life, since they have not means to maintain them of for life.

It is possible to say that the animals who live in dog houses have been lucky, since there are others who die to the little of being born because its proprietor "did not want a litter", and there has not even been granted them the opportunity to be adopted children.

For a dog or a cat its proprietor is everything, if it loses its proprietor, it loses everything. It´s him must protect him is precisely who him attacks, we can imagine what is the anxiety and the sensation of abandonment of these animals.

A victim of animal maltreatment was a Domitian who was one of the monkeys mainteined in a chair of immobilization in 1981 in the labo ratory of Edward Taub ofthe Institute of Investigation of Behaviorin Silver Spring, Maryland. PETA contacted with the police, which leveled the laboratory on September 11, 1981. Taub of 119 charges was accused by animal cruelty, what it took to a condemnation rovoked my appeal.

BLACK MARKET

The international animal trade is thriving, and smugglers are illegally hunting, buying and selling species ranging from Tigers to Turtles.

Depending on the species, the animals are sold either alive or dead. Buyers are loocking for strange animals for a plethora of reasons. Some seek exotic animals, such as big cats and rare parrots, for pets. Others believe that certain animal parts have medicinal properties.

In the Philippines, for example, the government has just issued an official statement condemning the sale of geckos, which many south Asians believe will cure diseases as diverse asthma and AIDS. Although illegal, the lizard-smuggling business is booming in the Philippines. An 11-ounce gecko can be sold for more than 50,000 pesos ($1,160) on the black market.

The use of geckos as treatments has no scientific basis and could be dangerous because patient might not seek proper treatment for their diseases, a Health Department statement said.

For diseases like asthma, there are now very effective treatments that are easily available and at affordable prices that can provide relief from asthma. With regular treatment, asthmatics can successfully control asthmatic symptoms and live a comfortable, healthy life, the DOH said.

Many of the other species on sale are either endangered or protected, or both. Smalls turtles and crocodiles fetch thousands of dollars in Thailand, for example, and the international Ivory trade is well documented, but still rampant.

BULLFIGHTS

The bulls are animals that have been domesticated. They are exploited and killed to extract their meat, skin and hair, and for trailer loads. It is also used in certain shows, like the "bullfighting" (where he is killed) and the "bulls".

The bulls are animals with great curiosity and intelligene, and are pleased when they find solutions to problems. They are very sensitive to unexpected events, even with movement and light contrasts to the point that a shadow can not come to a site or may cause them to fear. His eyesight is more developed than his sense of hearing, are able to disthinguish colors and can also be seen in depht, better distinguishing the vertical lines horizontal. When they are young, they are stressed by being in unfamiliar places.

Bulls have a very sensitive touch to the point of being aware that a fly has landed on his body. If you are aware of this, you can easily tell who suffer extreme pain when they are stuck pikes, banderillas and swords.

Bulls live in freedom have a pleasant life of peace in general, feeding and resting. They are very social animals, with different personality (in the same way that every human is different, each bull is also different). The bulls are able to recognize more than one hundred different individuals.

The bulls used in the "corridas" tend to be more agresive than the rest of bulls, something a result of a selection work developed by farmers in which we have sought that character. For that selection over time are also taken into account their physical characteristics. These bulls are separated from their mothers soon after their first brthday, at which time the bulls and cows live apart, thereby preventing the establishment of social relations between them.

ELEPHANTS ABUSE

This holidays don´t ride on elephant.

Activities with elephants, which are a claim for tourisists in the asiatic southeast, hide a horrible reality, lot of elephants familys murdered in the jungle to steal their babys, they´ll be cruelthy trained to do accions against their will, beg for money, play football or paint.

Is posible to visit national parks to see elephants in their natural habit. There are places that protect the elephants and fight against the mistreatment, in this places you can enjoy seeing the elephants living free.

Even dhough can look like incredible, the elephants backbones isn´t disegment to carry on burdees. In the camps the animals wear a saddle, sometimes the chair is metalic, usually they carry on 4 people at the same time. This chairs destroys the elephants backs because they do a lot of hours of trekking.

SHARKS' FLIPPERS

An investigation realized in the Pacific's coasts showed that a lot of flippers cut, meature around 15 cm.

The explorers of flippers take sharks out the sea and then, they cut their flippers while they are living. Then, they throw sharks to the water, where the sharks sink and they can't swim.

The cut flipper finish in the asiatic black markets to be sold. The sharks' clippers give to the organism proteins, calcium and phosphorus.

This is intolerant because the sharks are suffering and they are animals like us. The goverments have to forbide this and put expensive fines for this people.

POACHING

Poaching is a deadly crime against wildlife. Wildlife officials say that legal hunters kill tens of million animals every year. For each of those animals, another is killed illegally, perhaps on closed land or out of season, leaving orphaned young to starke. Few poachers are caught or punished.

Poachers may also kill endagered species or use illegal weapons. Some poachers just love killing animals, or wannt a trophy.

For many, profit is the motive. Bear gall bladders get top dollar for Chinese herbal remedies and big horned sheepantlers can fetcle $20.000 on the black marcket

ANIMAL TESTS

Animal tests are conduced all over the world causing horrific suffering to animals.
The majority of animals used for testing are rats and mice. Other animals used are hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, nonhuman primates, frogs, sheeps and cattles.

"Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us". Ask the experimenters why it is morally ok to experiment on animal, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not loke us".Animal experimentation rest on a logical contradiction".
- Professor Charles R. Magel

WHO CONDUCTS THE TESTS?
Most animal test are conducted by:
-The National Institutes of Health in the United States: they are the worlds largest funder of animal experiments.
-The Military: test include radiation experiments, studies on the effects of chermical warfare and wound experiments.
-Private institutions and companies: many household products and cosmetic are still squirted into the animals´eyes, pumped into their stomach, rubbed into their skins or forced to inhale.
-Agricultural companies: experiment are performed on cattle, sheep, chickens, pigs and turkeys to try to get them to produce more milk, wool, eggs or meat.
-Education and Training: animals are used in clashrooms as part of the leading process. This includes dissecting in biology class as well as training for medical and veterinary students.
